We work with young people inside schools, colleges and universities, supporting and extending the creative curriculum in a variety of ways and giving young people the experience of working alongside professional artists.
Working in schools & colleges
Students consistently report increased confidence, inclusion and creative growth, while teachers highlight the inspirational impact of working alongside professional artists. Schools we’ve partnered with have seen significant improvement in both the quality of student work and overall attainment.
We tour our shows into schools, giving many children access to high-quality theatre right where they are.
At Tangled Feet, we offer dynamic, curriculum-aligned workshops and residencies for secondary schools across Key Stages 3–5. We support GCSE, A Level and BTEC Drama/Performing Arts and also offer Staff CPD. We work closely to create bespoke programmes through devising, improvisation, play and collaborative creation to explore human connection.
We guide students to think creatively and critically working as an ensemble and developing original scenes, text, images and moments. Our residencies immerse young people in an authentic rehearsal environment—supported by professional actors, directors, designers and technical specialists—where student voice, equity, and creative ownership are central. Students create work they have total authorship over, amplifying their voice through working collaboratively with the professional team.
