Tangled Feet tell the exhilarating and moving human story of urban regeneration in a gravity-defying piece of highly physical storytelling.

A city’s story is an epic and perpetual tale of regeneration and change. Industries have changed, bombs have fallen, tower blocks have soared and markets plummeted. The past is wiped away and new futures promised. How does a city survive as all that is solid melts into air? What does it take to let go of the past when the future is still out of reach?

All That Is Solid Melts Into Air blends aerial and physical theatre, exploring the social and human process of regeneration – particularly the point in time when a place and a community is suspended in a moment of change, between the old but dying traditions and an uncertain future.

Reviews & Press

“The show is about the preciousness of land, and property, in the city, and how ordinary people can be denied their rights to these properties and this land - unless they find a way to reclaim them en masse. Tangled Feet's distinctive visual style allows them to create images and sequences that fix this idea in our head as powerfully as any other medium could.”
